The first step is choosing the right pool design. After that, you’ll need to choose the interior surface color, which will determine the water color and set the stage for the atmosphere you create.
Brown, tan, green, and light gray interior surfaces will produce a natural, green-hue water color resembling the look of the ocean reflecting off the sand.
White and blue interior surfaces produce a more traditional blue color, while dark gray will produce a steel blue hue.
The different hues of water color are not only created by the color of the surface interior, but also the tile, landscaping, sunlight and water depth.
Lighter pool surfaces have a higher light reflection value and enhance LED lights and depth perception while minimizing the appearance of water-line buildup. All colors can suffer damage if the water chemistry is not within range at all times.
